Why strengths?
I was introduced to the concept of ‘strengths’ in 2015 and felt an immediate affinity with it because of my own experience of leaving school feeling I had nothing much to offer… And then discovering that when I was able to study things that interested me, in a way that suited me, I was quite good at some things after all! What I love about strengths is that they have nothing to do with education, money, status or opportunity. We all have them. It’s what we do with them that counts.
I work mostly with people who are at a transition point in their work or life, especially those in mid-career transition. I use Gallup’s CliftonStrengths assessment along with other tools to help people identify their natural talents and abilities, and understand the contribution that they, uniquely, can make.
My qualifications are as follows:
I am a Gallup Certified CliftonStrengths® Coach (2016) and a Mindfulness Based Strength Practitioner (2020).
I’m also a Master Class Certified Business Model You® Practitioner (2020), a Gallup Business Builder Profile (BP10) coach (2016), and a Licensed Consultant for the Intelligent Career Card Sort® (ICCS) (2019).
I am qualified to administer psychometric ability and aptitude tests and I hold the Test User Certificate in Occupational and Ability Testing (British Psychological Association, 2016).
In 2017, I completed my Postgraduate Diploma in Careers Education, Information and Guidance through the University of Warwick.
I am a member of the UK’s Career Development Institute, and I abide by the CDI’s Code of Ethics. I maintain my professional knowledge in accordance with the CPD guidelines laid down by the Careers Profession Alliance, and am listed on the UK Register of Career Development Professionals (membership number: 563609).
I hold a Masters Degree in Education (Open University, 2002) and a BA Degree in Paper Conservation (Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts, London, 1993).
