What happens after the initial discussion?

Charlotte normally works with clients in blocks of four sessions, at least initially, in order to maintain momentum.  This also allows us to review progress as we go along.  Later on in the process, clients can arrange ad hoc sessions as and when the need arises.

What will your cost proposal cover?

The cost proposal will outline the key challenges identified, the number of sessions needed to address them, the topics to be addressed in each one, and the total cost of the sessions. If an assessment is recommended (e.g. CliftonStrengths) the cost of this is additional to the sessions themselves.

What else is included in your fee?

For every hour of contact time, there is normally one hour of preparation time.  So for a one-hour session, you are paying for two hours of work.

How many sessions might I need to have?

Career transition is not a quick process – it’s unlikely that you’ll get clarity on what you want to do after just one session.  It will take a number of sessions (usually over 2-3 months) to get to a point where you’ve gathered enough information about yourself to start planning ahead and making informed decisions about what you want to do next.  Each person is different.  This is why, if you’re considering career guidance or strengths coaching, you need to find the right person to work with and recognise that it’s an investment in terms of time, money, energy and commitment.

Can I just have feedback on my strengths?

If you are curious about your strengths and would simply like to understand what your CliftonStrengths reports mean, you can have a Discovery Session and leave it at that.  Having digested the contents, you’re welcome to come back at a later date for more focussed discussion about the implications for career and general wellbeing.

Do I have to pay for the CliftonStrengths assessment on top of your fee?

If you’ve already taken the assessment, you only need to pay for the session.  If you haven’t taken the assessment, you will need to purchase it separately.  Please note that Charlotte will provide you with instructions for this and for some preparatory work that will help you get the most out of the experience.

How do I pay?

All prices are based on £ sterling. If you are outside the UK, please visit http://www.xe.com/currencyconverter/ to check the current exchange rates. Payment options are cash (within the UK), bank transfer, or PayPal.

When do I pay?

If paying electronically, payment must be received before the session takes place.  For face-to-face sessions, payment must be made in cash at the start of each session.

I can’t afford this.  Do you have any suggestions?

It’s important to value your career wellbeing enough to get it ‘serviced’ when the need arises.  Investing some time and money in yourself will make it feel like you’re taking your needs seriously. That said, Charlotte recognises that people face financial challenges. Please contact her to discuss your situation.

How and where do you meet with clients?

Sessions are held via Skype, Google Hangout, Zoom, face-to-face, or over the phone depending on client preference.  If you would like face-to-face sessions in Cardiff, these are held in a local complementary therapy centre.  There is a small additional cost for the room hire.

Face-to-face sessions can also be held further afield but an additional charge is payable to cover travel time, fuel and parking.

When do you meet with clients?

Sessions are held on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.  Early evening sessions are available on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

What insurance do you have?

Charlotte holds professional liability insurance for Career Coaching Consultancy (including, where appropriate, work as an Educator/Trainer or Supervisor in this field).
